About the Role
StackPath seeks an exceptional candidate for the role of VP Corporate Controller. This position will be responsible for managing accounting for the overall organization and its affiliates. The Controller works closely with the Company’s audit firm, valuation firms and other partners.
This role will report to: The Chief Accounting Officer
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure that accounting is performed in compliance with GAAP
- Responsible for monthly and year-end close according to close schedule
- Coordinate with local accounting service providers for international entities
- Ensure completion and review of balance sheet reconciliations according to schedule
- Responsible for maintaining effective internal controls
- Work with external auditors to complete annual consolidated and statutory audits
- Preparation of financial statements, including cash flow
- Accounting for fixed assets, leases and capitalized labor
- Maintain current knowledge and compliance with technical accounting guidance
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- CPA certification and a mix of public accounting and private industry experience
- Strong working knowledge of Excel, NetSuite, other tools and ERP systems
- 10+ years of progressive responsibility in coordinating accounting, audit activities, reporting, and general ledger
- Experience working in a high growth company
- Flexible to adapt to changing priorities
- Experience with accounting and compliance for foreign activities
- Ethical, intelligent and articulate individual who can relate to people at all levels of an organization
