About the Role

The Sr Technical Business Analyst is a highly analytical individual with outstanding communications skills, understands business process improvements, customer experience and change management.  This is a senior level position and requires experience supporting multiple organizations and platforms and is a technologist at heart.  The Sr Technical Business Analyst will help modernize our current back office platforms, business processes and build stronger foundational capabilities while contributing to the overall strategy, design, and development of our long term Enterprise Systems Architecture.

As the Sr Technical Business Analyst, you will partner cross functionally to support organization objectives and optimize performance. Partnering with key stakeholders, you will develop and execute impactful, data-driven solutions for transforming and developing our business processes into scalable capabilities.

This role will report to our: Enterprise Systems Architect and work closely with senior leadership across all organizations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Analyze data and business processes
  • Develop and execute processes for identifying, approving, testing, introducing, and implementing emerging technologies
  • Perform as solution champion to socialize, align and validate with all business organizations to gain support, prioritization and implement ESA initiatives.
  • Develop an understanding of processes and associated tools, analyze them for improvement opportunities, and present recommendations (what to automate, change, and eliminate).
  • Understand use of backoffice systems including CRM, Billing, ERP across organizations and identify, recommend and build scalable solutions which improve, modernize and deliver new capabilities (CPQ, credit card processing, billing) and areas of optimization.
  • Evaluate technologies to streamline business processes and partner with stakeholder teams to design and implement improvements that drive business value.
  • Partner with technical resources to identify all overlapping or disparate data across systems and drive standardization, integration and data integrity strategies.
  • Capture action items through EA lifecycle phases, create and write user stories in EA backlog
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and presentations across the EA team, executive leadership, and the enterprise
  • Research applications and technologies to properly classify their functions and identify any needs for changes to our Business Capability Map (BCM)
  • Lead workshops on enterprise, domain, and solution specific architecture
  • Document the current state landscape, architecture, policy and standards for the enterprise
  • Generate gap analysis reports, produce impact assessments, and model what-if scenarios
  • Take a data-driven approach to evaluate, recommend and continually improve business process, system integration and data quality initiatives.
  • Own data process improvement and standardization plans and associated activities.
  • Leverage process tools such as process charts, tables, value stream mapping, and workflow diagrams to analyze and identify system improvements.
  • Conduct ad-hoc special projects as requested.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • 10-15 years experience leading process and system improvement initiatives
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills a must.
  • Strong analytical skills including logic, deductive reasoning, problem-solving, and critical thinking including the ability to synthesis multiple sources of information.
  • A self-starter who is passionate about operational effectiveness and is able to lead in a collaborative manner that optimizes processes accordingly.
  • Ability to navigate in a cross-functional environment to align stakeholders, understand strategic needs and translate into actionable plans.
  • Demonstrated ability to champion a continuous improvement culture; be an advocate for change
  • Prior experience in program/project management, business process improvement, customer experience and change management
  • Exhibit extensive continuous process improvement project and/or workshop experience (defining current state, reporting, and training; data gathering, data analysis, and root cause analysis; defining future state systems, processes, metrics, reporting; change management plans)
  • Experience with SQL
  • Experience with reporting tools such as Tableau
  • Experience with CRM, Marketing, Finance, Billing, Customer care systems
  • Experience with system integration techniques
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Preferred – experience working knowledge of Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, etc.
  • Preferred - experience working in an Agile development environment
  • Preferred - experience with IaaS, PaaS, and Cloud Services such as AWS and Azure
