About the Role

The Vice President/Sr. Director of Product Management will oversee the Edge platform and will directly manage a team of technical product managers. This role will focus on StackPath’s Compute, Networking, Storage and various platform packaging solutions. The ideal candidate must have previous experience in setting the GTM strategy for public or Edge cloud offers for IaaS and developing roadmaps for their technical product management to execute.

You’ll be responsible for all stages of a typical PDLC, especially GTM support and sales enablement, you’ll be involved in contracting, SLA management, managing investments and the P&L associated with our product initiatives. Most importantly, you’ll set and shape the GTM strategy for the edge platform product portfolio.

We are seeking candidates with a customer first approach, who can engage at the executive level in the company and with customers.

This role will report to our: Chief Product Officer.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Influencing, leading, and supporting cross-functional teams in the planning, development, and management of our services, including:

  • leading story and feature development in collaboration with Technology and Operations department teams, including:
    • organizing and creating framework requirements
    • discussing and defining technology decisions, vendors, and services
    • managing the portfolio level backlogs and prioritization
  • Collecting and analyzing market, competitive, and internal data for market trends and insights and customer requests, in collaboration with Sales department and Marketing department teams.
  • Building financial models and strategies that factor for COGS and P&L goals in collaboration with Finance department and Operations department teams.
  • Determining product messaging in collaboration with Marketing department teams
  • Managing and scaling a team of product managers, while also contributing as needed.

 

Desired Skills and Experience

  1. Over 8 years of previous experience as a product manager or product team leader within mid-sized or enterprise companies, with direct responsibility and P&L ownership of product lines.
  2. Experience in public cloud for compute, storage, and networking solutions.
  3. Experience with PCI/HITRUST and other compliance standards.
  4. Working knowledge of Dev-Ops practices.
  5. A deep understanding of modern application architecture.
  6. Previous responsibility for a full PDLC with a demonstration of successful product launches and growth.
  7. Experience managing technically complex products.
  8. Previous experience with contracting and contract negotiation.
  9. Previous experience in SaaS products is a plus.
  10. Deep understanding of product development workflows, in Agile Scrum and Kanban methodologies.
  11. Experience with User centric design, IDEO or other design thinking methodologies.
  12. Demonstrated ability to leverage analytics for day to day decision making.
  13. Demonstrated ability to objectively collect and process feedback from customers and the market, though research, interviews, and other means.
  14. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  15. High degree of comfort presenting to executives, C-suite, or highly technical audiences.
  16. MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
