About the Role

We are seeking a Solution Architect with a background in networking, security, and/or Internet technologies. The Solution Architect will be part of a pathfinding team responsible for expanding StackPath’s edge compute and security services leveraging organic development or strategic partnerships. The Solution Architect will interact with customers and sales to define technical direction of the solution and interface with product management, engineering, and partners to bring the solution to market. The sky is the limit for the creativity you can bring to the table to develop new revenue streams for the company.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Define the technical requirements for new solutions by working closely with product managers, development engineers, architects, support engineers, sales engineers, and customers.
  • Build proof of concept solutions in the lab stitching together StackPath and products from technology partners. Work with engineering to develop and test integrations.
  • Develop and deliver collaterals for sales enablement that demonstrate value proposition of the solution and how it addresses customer needs.
  • Lead and drive customer proof of concepts and trials.
  • Be the technology SME for the solution, in client and analyst engagements.
  • Be an evangelist for StackPath in the market presenting at industry events.

Desired Skills and Experience

  1. A minimum of 3-5 years of previous experience as a solutions architect, sales engineering, technical marketing engineer or similar role in networking and/or security fields.
  2. Previous experience creating and facilitating product demonstrations and leading customer proof of concepts or trials.
  3. Previous experience as a technologist.
  4. Highly motivated, self-starter with the ability to identify and solve problems with little or no guidance.
  5. Technical background, previously in engineering, technical marketing, support, or sales engineering.
  6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  7. Demonstrated ability to influence and lead without any direct reports or management, effectively executing in a cross functional role.
  8. High degree of comfort presenting to executives, C-suite and highly technical customer audiences.
