About the Role

StackPath is making the internet safe. We’re looking for a Developer Evangelist that’s passionate about ensuring developers can successfully build solutions incorporating our security practices. We’re looking to build a developer platform team as we expand and engage a broader section of the developer community. You’ll help showcase the platforms capabilities through content and presentations at events locally. Our developer evangelists also play a crucial role of representing the voice of external developers internally and bringing their feedback into our current and upcoming product offerings. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Build and grow the StackPath Developer Community, which globally targets millions of developers and organizations
  • Write and drive high quality technical content that helps developers get started more quickly and easily
  • Be the voice of StackPath in public forums and external events for developers building on the StackPath platform
  • Contribute to the open source community. StackPath is a web service, API-driven platform. The tools built on those API’s are often open source and you will evangelize for them in the developer world.
  • Work cross-functionally with our product teams, many other engineering teams, and partner developers in the design and delivery of StackPath’s global developer platform
  • Attend community events like Meetups, user groups, and hackathons to ensure StackPath has a presence in the developer community
  • Assist Community Engagement team at events and partnerships such as technical office hours, meetup events, presentations, and external events

 

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Passion for developers and an innate desire for good developer experiences
  • A desire to be in the cyber security sector
  • Experience building and engaging communities
  • Have previously delivered high quality code samples and documentation that others use to successfully onboard and build
  • Track record of pursuing self-directed side projects, research, or open source projects
  • Great communication and writing skills
  • The desire to help actively make the world a better place
