About the Role

The International Accountant will be responsible for the correct accounting and controls of StackPath’s international holding and global employment companies, including supporting the International Accounting Department in operations accounting, financial statement analysis, and various global special projects.  The individual will work closely with international accounting teams, building relationships to support teams in EMEA and APAC regions to understand and apply U.S. GAAP, facilitate adoption of U.S. processes and support the adoption of new applications.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Assist with the review of foreign subsidiaries' financial statements for compliance with U.S. GAAP and consistency with corporate processes
  • Work closely with U.S. and international accounting teams to coordinate timely month end close cycles
  • Assist with the consolidations process, which will include performing and/or overseeing the preparation of intercompany transactions, analyzing month end revaluation and related reconciliation procedures
  • Assume responsibility for the proper reconciliation of foreign currency and intercompany transaction accounts
  • Complete financial statement flux analysis for assigned legal entities
  • Participate in financial statement audits and reviews, including preparation of audit PBC schedules
  • Analyze re-measurement, translation, and foreign currency exchange gains/losses for reasonableness

 

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • International experience is strongly preferred for a smooth transition
  • CPA candidate preferred
  • Ability to research and resolve technical accounting issues
  • Knowledge of U.S. GAAP
  • NetSuite or systems related experience a plus
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Energetic, driven and dedicated
  • Intellectual curiosity and a "can do" attitude
